SDCUC educates South Dakota consumers about corn and corn-related products. We visit trade shows, state and county fairs, sporting events and schools. We produce television, radio, digital and newspaper ads that help consumers understand corn growers, and print brochures that explain new uses for corn and corn-related products.
SDCUC also works hard to keep state producers on the cutting edge of agriculture by hosting educational workshops, publishing a blog and quarterly newsletter containing the latest information on farming practices and trends, and producing educational marketing campaigns.
SDCUC supports numerous agriculture education programs, including FFA, Save our Farm Youth, Little I and 4-H, because we believe the future of our industry depends on up and coming young farmers.
In addition, we award financial scholarships through SDSU, Lake Area Technical Institute and Mitchell Technical Institute. These scholarships are awarded to either a sophomore, junior or senior on course to graduate with a major in agriculture. This has been a beneficial way to promote the corn industry careers.
